Eizus was born here at the zoo, he was the zoo first baby. Took his mother 14 months of gestation. As soon as he hit the ground, well yes Giraffe do give bird standing, it didn't took him long to stand up. Eizus was about 1.8 M (6ft) tall. Within a few few hours Eizus was already running around. But the first two week he most stay laying on the ground near his over protective mother. At a month old Eizus was running around the zoo making friend with everyone.
